Welcome to the 9th Annual Tax Clinic!

In partnership with Resident Doctors of BC, Financial Literacy Counsel is hosting their 9th annual tax clinic for resident doctors. MNP is the accounting firm partnering with us to provide the tax clinic this year.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • The tax clinic is open to all current resident doctors in BC.
  • You must have a copy of your 2021 Notice of Assessment.
  • This complimentary service is for basic 2022 personal tax returns only.
    • Bacic returns generally include tax slips provided to report income and tax credits (e.g., T4, T5, or T2200).
    • Returns that include CA shift/moonlighting income, rental, or investment income will have a $250 charge.
    • For more complex tax situations, please contact Devon Richards to provide you with a quote, at a discounted rate.
  • Your partner/spouse is eligible. If you would like to book an appointment for your spouse, please check the “Joint Return”  box on the sign up form. You do not need to book an additional appointment for your partner/spouse; both returns will take place during the same appointment.

Please take note of the following:

  • All appointments are 30 minutes in duration and take place online via MS Teams.
  • If you are unable to join your scheduled appointment, please cancel at least 48 hours prior to the appointment.
  • Appointments are booked on a first-come, first-served basis and fill up QUICKLY due to high demand.
    • If there are no appointment times available and you wish to be placed on our waitlist, please email Devon Richards and provide your first and last name. The waitlist will also operate on a first-come, first-served basis. If an appointment becomes available, Devon will email you directly.

About Financial Literacy Counsel

Financial Literacy Counsel (FLC) is a boutique financial education and financial planning company committed to moving doctors financially forward. FLC began serving the medical community in 2003 through UBC Medicine and was contracted in 2011 by VCH Employee Wellness and RDBC in 2021 to provide financial education to medical and healthcare professionals. Their programs are also delivered through UBC CPD, UBC Transition into Practice, Divisions of Family Practice, BC Anesthesiology Society, Chartered Professionals Association of BC, and Continuing Legal Education Society of BC.
